Sony’s Days Gone has seen a strong debut on PS4 in Japan, by outselling God of War.

The zombie (or should we say freakers) title from Sony Bend, managed to sell 114,319 boxed copies in its opening week, while God of War only managed 46,091 units in its opening week. Days Gone was even close to Horizon: Zero Dawn, which debuted with 116,997 sales in the Far East.

Days Gone was of course, also the UK number one and even managed to stay there this week too.

Let’s hope this success leads to another title from Sony Bend.
