Xbox LIVE membership set for a price hike

Microsoft is set to match Sony and increase the price of Xbox Live to £49.99 for a year’s membership. Currently, a year’s Xbox LIVE will set you back £39.99, so it may be worth grabbing it now before the price goes up.

Xbox Live subscribers receive new free games every month and of course, you also need the service in order to play online. Microsoft has held the price at £39.99 for a while now, however if you want free access to games such as Marooners (Available May 1 to 31 on Xbox One) and The Golf Club 2019 (Available May 16 to June 15 on Xbox One) for Xbox One, and Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (Available May 1 to 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360) and Comic Jumper for Xbox 360 (Available May 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360), then you’ll likely want to grab that membership now.
