SEGA has trademarked Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball in Japan.

The publisher has been looking into its back catalogue recently and we’re sure everyone would love a new Monkey Ball. The series was first released in 2001 and last landed for console on PS Vita in 2012. There was a mobile version after that, although it didn’t last long.

There’s no word if a new game will actually appear anytime soon or on what platform, although we suspect if a new game ever does arrive, the Nintendo Switch will be its most likely port of call.
