EA reveals new ‘Back to its Roots’ Need for Speed game will release this year
EA has revealed in its latest financial call that things “did not go as planned,” last year thanks to a drop in revenue across the board, including disappointing sales of Anthem, however it will continue to support the game and hopes that this year’s FIFA, Madden, NBA Live, and NHL will help pick things up again.
The company also expects to sell between six and eight million units of Star Wars game, Jedi: Fallen Order, and four million of this year’s Need 4 Speed, which will apparently go back to its Cops vs Racers roots. There will also be a new Plants v. Zombies shooter releasing, as well as EA Original title, Sea of Solitude.
Of course, EA will also continue to push Apex Legends, with new updates set to be revealed at EA Play and revealed it is also pushing users on its subscription services to try new games and series they’ve never played before; The arrival of EA Access on PlayStation 4 will no doubt help with this.
Are you excited for a new Need for Speed or for EA’s Star Wars game, Jedi: Fallen Order?
