We finally got another look at Final Fantasy VII last night during Sony’s State of Play, although we’re still no closer to actually playing the game.

The new footage was mostly focused on the game’s opening section, giving us a look at Aerith and Sephiroth, as well as a look at the new gameplay system. Of course, we’re still no closer to actually playing the game, since no release date was revealed.

Perhaps E3 will bring us new of that since Square Enix will be in attendance. Who knows, maybe there will be a stealth release of episode one, although we’re not holding our breath.
