NIS America has just finished presenting their 2018 Press event, which was streamed over on Twitch. We received a few release date announcements, new game announcements and a couple of platform confirmations. Happy Birthdays – The World Is In Your Hands! has found a new home on the Switch this Summer (originally called Birthdays: the beginning). This is a game I never got the chance to play outside of the demo but it looks really interesting.

From legendary creator, Mr. Yasuhiro Wada (TOYBOX Inc.) comes Birthdays the Beginning: a new sandbox game in which players create cube-shaped worlds that give rise to diverse and unique lifeforms. With careful experimentation, players can shape the geography and alter the temperature of each world to create the conditions for life and witness the birth of an entire ecosystem!

.
Tohou fans were accommodated next with the announcement of Tohou Genso Wanderer -Reloaded-. This is the original game with all of it’s released DLC and a few new scenarios – coming to both the PS4 and the Switch later this year.

The original world of Touhou was created by ZUN, a one-man dev team who has handled the game design, scenario writing, programming, character design, and music production for over 15 entries into the universe. Though he originally created Touhou back in 1996 as a way to create his own game music, the series has become a bit of a phenomenon thanks to the Play Doujin! a scene that has grown around it and fostered a plethora of fan-developed games like Touhou Genso Rondo.

.
Now for something a little different – A one-man Indie studio developed game which is hitting Steam Via early access this May, Assault Spy.

Dash, evade, and smash your way to the truth as the corporate spy, Asaru! Uncover the dark secrets of the Negabot mega corporation as you save the company from a hostile takeover. Assault Spy is a stylish, fast paced, pure-action game with a dash of comedy.
