Top Video Game pre-orders for August 2017
The second half of the year is slowly creeping up on us and video game fans know what that means – games and lots of them. Publishers seem to like to keep all the big titles aside until the latter half of the year and there’s certainly some big hitters this year.
Given there are so many games on the way, we decided to write an article for each month, starting off with August and bringing you the others throughout the week. So let’s get started.
Top Pre-Orders for August 2017
One of the first big titles to release in August is Sonic Mania (which is actually a digital game), releasing in the shape of an awesome Collector’s Edtion and although the PS4 and Switch versions sold out fast, you’re still able to get hold of the Xbox One Collector’s Edtion. Maybe it’s worth it just for the collectables, even if you don’t own an Xbox?
We’re hoping this could be one of the best Sonic games in quite some time (and let’s face it, it wouldn’t be hard, given the lack of quality in recent years).
The month continues with the excellent looking Agents of Mayhem, a spiritual successor to Saint’s Row and one that looks just as out there. You can pre-order the “Day One Edition to get the ‘Legal Action Pending DLC: Franchise Force & Carnage a Trois.”
Also in August is the highly anticipated Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This stand-alone story will offer up to 10 hours of Uncharted gameplay, making it one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, never mind the month.
If all of that isn’t enough for you, then you’ll also be able to purchase F1 2017: Special Edition, Madden NFL 2018, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Yakuza Kiwami and the excellent looking Everybody’s Golf, the latter of which is one of our most anticipated game, as it’s just so much fun (something we learned from both previous versions and the Beta).
An expensive month then, although remember you can save £2 on most of the pre-orders above providing you are an Amazon Prime member.
