Timber Tennis Versus – PS4 | Quickfire Review
Timber Tennis Versus is a delightfully simple tennis game with a kooky presentation and colourful visual style. Whilst it’s no Virtua Tennis, it never claims to be. In fact, the game seems to land somewhere between NES Tennis and Sega Superstars Tennis.
With accessible, albeit basic gameplay similar to those mentioned above and the vast amount of playable characters and different weapons/items you’d expect from something like Mario Kart, Timber Tennis is a surprisingly fun time.
I found the visual style and overall presentation of the game to be it’s biggest strength. The characters and the world are all presented in a pixelated, colourful art style that will no doubt appeal to the younger gamers out there.
There’s also a tonne of different playable characters and balls to unlock, simply by playing in the games tournament modes, which come with a difficulty select for those of you who might be looking for some mindless fun.
If you’re looking for something fun and easy to play with friends, either locally or online Timber Tennis Versus has you covered.
Final Impressions
There’s really not much more to say. If you like simple party games, tennis and colourful characters, I’d say this Timber Tennis Versus is for you.
