Edifier G2000 Gaming Speakers | Review
Finding some speakers for your set up can be a tough task. They need to sound good of course, but they also have to look good, as well as meeting all the requirements you need.
We all have a lot of devices these days, from PC to Mobile and of course console. So what if a speaker existed which allows you to connect them all and switch between each with the touch of a button? Say hello to the Edifier G2000 Gaming Speakers.
To be honest, I’ve had the same old speakers for years and they are starting to look old too, however, I was pretty happy with them and never really thought about changing them out. Now though, I wouldn’t be without my new G2000 speakers.
Somehow, after recently upgrading my PC to make it a super rig, I didn’t even thing new of speakers as a priority, however the G2000’s complement my PC perfectly.
Being someone who likes a bit of RGB (blue is the colour), I was quite happy to set the speakers up and choose from one of the 12 RGB colours which radiate from the back of the speaker. They look smart anyway, but the RGB really adds a touch of class.
Perhaps my favourite thing about the G2000’s though is that they include an AUX port, USB and also Bluetooth. This means I can switch between using the speaker for my PC, iPhone, iPad or PS4 and I don’t even have to move them, all I need to do is push a button.
In addition, the speakers also include three sound modes; Game, Movie and Music, so depending on what you are using the speakers for, you can get the perfect balance you need.
Other features of the speakers include a 2.75-inch full range unit with 16w RMS power output and a column shaped cabinet with a backward mega bass port, there is also a volume lever to easily adjust the volume and the speakers come with a dedicated power unit, so you can have a separate power source for your speakers.
It goes without saying that the speakers sound fantastic out of the box, although I am someone who likes a little extra bass, so I was pleased that I was able to plug them into my subwoofer thanks to the included sub out port.
I am not going to lie and say I’m some sort of audio expert, but I know what I like when it comes to sound and I love these speakers. They sound perfect for Gaming, Music or Movies and as a bonus, they look fantastic too.
